Finances: Q2, 2006

Here’s my finances for the period of April through June.

Obviously the next installment of my enlistment bonus helped my income. I still spent a lot on restaurants (I tend to pay for everyone present) and added a lot more paying for food, although some of that may be offset by the fact that I included all PX/shoppette purchases as food even if I might have bought some military/general supplies.

I spent no money on movies or clothes although I bought a new Apple MacBook and Nintendo DS Lite + games which definitely took up the bulk of my spending this quarter.

My cellphone bills actually went UP. $320.00/quarter is out of control for a cellphone. I don’t even use it that much! I hate cellphones but I need to have one I guess. Or do I? Vonage is great on my family and me financially, although business-wise I think they’re getting pretty desperate. Some non-English-speaking Vonage customer rep called me and begged me to get two more extra lines. That was annoying! Plus their IPO has been tanking.

Comcast was over-charging me so I ended up not having to pay for a month and a half to recoup the charges.

ATM withdrawals were off-set by my $230.00 1st place poker winnings at a friend’s hold ’em tournament. Gas spending remained constant.

I had some other miscellaneous fees such as gifts but I did not include them. I had to get new tires again as one got blown out somehow.
